Witness a sacred purification on the waterfall steps. The Nachi Fire Festival features twelve massive 50kg pine torches carried up the stone path to purify the way for twelve fan-mounted portable shrines, creating a stunning visual of fire against the backdrop of Japan’s tallest waterfall.
