Picture this: wild running, joyful shouting, and cheeky antics as these masked tricksters “rattle” their way through the village, bringing ancient traditions back to life while celebrating the end of winter and the promise of spring.
From fictitious weddings that leave no room for complaints to the fiery Queima do Entrudo, the Carnival’s grand finale, every moment is filled with laughter and cultural flair. Kids, or “facanitos,” follow in the footsteps of their elders, ensuring the legacy of this spirited Entrudo Chocalheiro lives on.
